The world is moving fast, changing life as we know it. Rapid technology, industrial development and global trends have come along with Pros and Cons notwithstanding. It becomes inevitable to strengthen different systems that manage our welfare in today’s changing world.
As citizens, we all have a role to play towards our well-being. We must bear a ‘collaborative responsible effort’ alongside private and public systems set and governments to promote good living and working environments, for economic activity and descent living.

To promote the safety welfare of family and family spaces, and mitigate the impact of dangers caused by delay in access time and un-authorized access, Mlinzi App covers the scope below:
- ‘Once-only’ registration of residents living in a certain plot/court/estate or gated area, under one ‘guard-number’ for fast identification via name, house number or vehicle number plate, by a guard.
- Visitors & taxi registration by residents, for fast identification and access at the gate. Also allows ‘edit-date’ for previously registered visitors/taxi.
- Initiates a pre-set distress SMS to select individuals from your phone list.
- Direct call to ‘the’ guard number in cases where main gate assistance is required.
- Residents receive an SMS alert every time their visitors/taxi access the gate.
- Quick first aid remedies for small home emergencies.
- Quick search for residents and guests by guards at the gate to allow access.
Background
Safety threats have continued to be on the rise worldwide, due to notably economic and religious factors, among others. It takes a specific amount of time for an intruder to capitalize an opportunity and/or a person to remedy an emergency situation from turning tragic. For instance, delay in gaining entry at a residential gate and the lack of resident’s authorization of guests before gaining access into a residential area has been capitalized for crime. Safety is also largely compromised by 1. Isolation as organized crime more often does not attract public attention and 2. The time taken to access security personnel, medical help or fire services at the moment of ‘shock’ is not always readily available at the click of a button, regardless of location.
