Mlinzi app is resident and visitor registration/identification system. This service is provided by MlinziApp Company Ltd at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform Mlinzi App users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. Mlinzi App will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to full name, Identification number, phone number, vehicle registration number, Email address and Guard number. This data is collected for the purpose of creating a resident or guard account. The accounts created can then access Mlinzi App services such fast identification at gates of residents and prior registration of guests for fast identification at the gates. Being a security system, users are not allowed to delete their own accounts or visitor logs as that would be a loophole in the system. However, this can be deleted via a written request.

The information that we request is retained on your device and is not collected by us in any way; it will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

The app does NOT use third party services that may collect information used to identify you. When using our services, you trust us with your information. We understand this is a big responsibility and we work hard to protect your information and put you in control.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in case of an error in the app we may collect data and information on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies are files with small amount of data that is commonly used an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory. This Service does not use “cookies”. However, in future we may use “cookies” for collection of information to improve our services. You will have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies, and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Providing false personal or third party information in the app for the purpose of using the app is gross violation of this policy. In the event of misuse of the app, we reserve the right to terminate your account and take legal action as per the current law.

Data storage in our database uses encryption to keep your data private. We review our information collection, storage, and processing practices, including physical security measures, to prevent unauthorized access to our systems. We restrict access to personal information to Mlinzi App developer employees only as that information in order to process it. Anyone with this access is subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations. Mlinzi App security system is a registered ltd Co and vetted by National Intelligence Service as is the procedure for all registered security companies in Kenya. User’s personal information is not shared to any third parties for any social, economic or political reasons. Personal information can only be shared to police during an ongoing criminal investigation involving an individual under Mlinzi App and bearing a written request from the police on the specific data needed for the particular that investigation. Mlinzi App can also diverge data to police in cases of averting criminal or dealing with public safety.

This Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
